Last night I watch a movie named Forrest gump. It was aired on 1994 and i happen to heard alot of good reviews about this movie recently through yahoo movies and imdb.com. After I finish watching it, I was amazed. It was a very nice and touching movie. Damn beautifully scripted and perfectly casted by the all of the actors and actresses especially Tom Hanks.
Its actually about a fictionous character whose name is Forrest Gump, he was narrating his past while sitting on a bench next to a black old lady talking and sounding very dim witted. When he was young he's thought to have an IQ of only 75 he can't talk the way normal human does and he cannot walk properly because he does not have very strong legs. He needs some kind of metal to support his leg while he walks and the way he walks actually mock the way Elvis presley dances. And due to his disability, he also found himself in a disadvantage in enrolling into a famous school which his mother tried profusely everything to get him into the school, well basically she had sex with the principal and then he let him in.
Then the scene change to him waiting for a bus, which is his first day to school, when he got up to the bus, he noticed that everyone gave him the disgusting and discriminating look because of his disability and no one allows him to sit beside them. Then there was this little girl, whom he will eventually marry, request him to sit beside her. "And then i heard the most beautiful voice ever" As stated by Forrest when the girl ask him to sit beside her. Days passes by as their bond towards each other grew closer. The girl was known later to have a abusive father in the movie.
School days was tough for forrest as he has to withhold bullies and insult almost everyday, constantly being mocked at and disturbed. One time he was chased by a few bikers and being throw stones at, and being chased, he ran as the girl was with him, "Run, Forrest Run" Cried the girl, as the girl can only watched helplessly as her beloved friend runs from the danger, the cyclists paddles speedly tries to knock him down. Then something happen as he ran, the metal supporting his leg suddenly breaks and he was able to run normally like a normal person. Knowing that, he suddenly felt so good in running and he continue running even though he had already shunned off from the bikers, he ran past amazingly fast across a foodball field within his school compound catching the sight of the football coach whom later would have him enrolled into the football club. And then he spend his days in school as a football player being the key player as he was the fastest in the field. As he grows up he was seen playing for one of the football club in America and then I would like to type out the whole story but i figure out it will take up alot of my time and i need to sleep. Anyway i reccomend this movie to everyone! Really a very good movie. It tells us that even most of us has slight disablities "We are no different from others because all of us are different!" Not only that, it also thought me alot of things about life, that's what i like about old movies, they are really meaningful and most of them are really worth our money though i get to watch it free!! hehe. Some of the movies nowsaday are just overatted and directed and acted by people who just want to make money quick and easy. Anyway forrest gump is 9.4/10 Definitely one of the best movies I've seen!
PS: What i had typed out was only just 1/20 of the whole story lmao!
